NEW YORK -- The suspension of San Joses Marvin Chavez has been cut in half to one game by Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber, and the forward will be eligible to play Saturday against Colorado. Chavez was penalized for violent conduct in a May 8 game against Toronto, and the MLS disciplinary committee doubled the penalty last Friday. Garber made his decision after hearing an appeal. The disciplinary committee suspended four players one game each Wednesday: Colorados Edson Buddle (reckless challenge), Vancouvers Johnny Leveron (reckless challenge), Chivas USAs Mario De Luna (aggressively retrieving the ball) and Salt Lakes Kwame Watson-Siriboe (violent conduct). Because De Luna also has a one-game suspension for yellow-card accumulation, he will serve the latest penalty May 25. The others will miss games this weekend. Air Max 270 React Winter .
