The Winnipeg Goldeyes signed left-handed pitcher Edgar Osuna to a contract on Monday. Osuna, 25, was with the Goldeyes during training camp, but was released after suffering a shoulder injury. He has played six professional seasons since signing with the Atlanta Braves as an 18-year-old, but missed the entire 2012 season due to a shoulder injury. He was selected by the Kansas City Royals from the Braves in the 2009 MLB Rule 5 draft and subsequently went 6-2 with a 2.95 ERA in 17 starts at Double-A Northwest Arkansas of the Texas League.
