CINCINNATI -- The Broncos defense was back in force, led by Super Bowl MVP Von Miller. The offense has gifted receivers with Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. C.J. Anderson was there to run the ball.Could they even come close to replacing Peyton Manning? That was Denvers overriding question heading into the season. In his first road game, Trevor Siemian answered emphatically and impressively.Siemian had the best game by a Broncos quarterback in two years -- since Manning was running the show -- as Denver stayed unbeaten with a 29-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday. He threw four touchdown passes -- Manning was the last Bronco to do that -- and passed for 312 yards.Best of all, he was nearly perfect under the most intense pressure, going completing 11 of 12 passes while leading Denver (3-0) to a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns.Yeah, call it Manning-esque.Obviously going in, nobody really knew about him, said Sanders, who caught the first two touchdowns. Now everybodys starting to talk about him.On a team that aspires to another Super Bowl season, Siemian and his 132.1 passer rating on Sunday sure looked like a perfect fit as the missing piece.Thats what weve been waiting for, man, cornerback Chris Harris Jr. said. Thats a huge step forward for our team to do that on the road against a playoff team. For the Bengals (1-2), it was another ominous afternoon. The defending AFC North champions are out of sync on both offense and defense. Theyre 1-2 for the first time in five years. Theyre already two games off the pace in their division. We still have a lot of stuff to clean up, receiver A.J. Green said. Were still trying to find ourselves. Some takeaways from the Broncos win:SIEMIANS IMPRESSIVE START: Siemian, a seventh-round pick last season, is the seventh Broncos quarterback to win his first three starts -- Brock Osweiler also did it last season. The club record is a 6-0 start, by Craig Morton in 1977 and Kyle Orton in 2009. Coach Gary Kubiak showed faith in Siemian by letting him air it out when the Bengals clamped down on Denvers running game. He finished 23 of 35, including touchdowns of 41 and 55 yards.Honestly, theres nothing to tell Trevor, Sanders said. I know hes a young quarterback, but he doesnt act like it. Hes always confident and collected.Hes the one who wants to throw the ball. Hes the one who wants to deliver that pass. Kubiak put a lot of faith in him, and he delivered.OH THAT DENVER D: Once Siemian led them to the lead, the Broncos took care of Andy Dalton, sacking him twice in the fourth quarter. Dalton was 21 of 31 overall for 206 yards, although 92 of those yards came when the Broncos started allowing short completions to drain the clock.Once we get up, its sacks and interceptions time, Harris said. We feel that when we get up by two touchdowns, its over for that team.PICKING ON PACMAN: The Broncos went after Bengals cornerback Adam Pacman Jones, having their receivers use double moves that worked for big plays . Emmanuel Sanders made two moves to spring past Jones for a 41-yard TD catch. With Jones was on the sideline with cramps, Demaryius Thomas put a double move on backup Chris Lewis-Harris for a clinching 55-yard TD catch.OUT-OF-BALANCE OFFENSE: The Bengals could barely run the ball in the first two games. They made that the point of emphasis and got a 50-yard run from Jeremy Hill on the opening drive. After that, Denver clamped down. Hill finished with 97 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but it wasnt nearly enough.A lot of stuff we wish we could have back, Hill said. We have a ways to go as far as the running game, and it starts with me.NOT-SO-SWEET HOME: The Bengals host the Dolphins on Thursday night, although the home field hasnt been much of an advantage for them lately. They lost a first-round playoff game to Pittsburgh at Paul Brown Stadium last season, and now their season opener. Cincinnati is only 6-4 in its past 10 home games.---Online: AP NFL website www.pro32.ap.org and AP NFL Twitter feed: www.twitter.com/AP-NFLJarome Iginla Jersey . 31, the CFL club announced Monday. India Blue 200 for 5 (Agarwal 92, Gambhir 77, Kuldeep 4-49) v India RedScorecard and ball-by-ball details After two-thirds of play was rendered impossible by the weather for the second day in succession, Kuldeep Yadav ate into India Blues gains with a four-wicket burst late in the night. India Blue went from 188 for 1 to 200 for 5 in four overs, as Kuldeep unleashed a rash of googlies that bored into India Blues batting core.Should Mayank Agarwal nurse heartaches over his dismissal, it wouldnt be out of place: he ventured an inexplicable slog to be stumped after coming within a whisker of his second first-class hundred. The dismissal proved to be costlier than he might have anticipated on a day India Blue had to negotiate a mere 27.4 overs. From the outset, this was a curious day where little of the expected unfolded. With rain in the air, and after the pitch had sweated under the covers for over 24 hours - the grass on the pitch appeared markedly lusher - it was thought the ball would move around crazily. On the evidence of the first few overs, it also seemed that India Reds wretched luck would continue - they had handed India Blue captain Gautam Gambhir and Agarwal a reprieve each on Monday, and were still atoning for them. The second ball of the day, from left-arm seamer Pradeep Sangwan, caught Gambhirs outside edge and flew just wide of second slip. On the first ball of the next over, Ishwar Pandey struck Agarwal, who shouldered arms with pad thrust forward, on the back leg, but umpire Virender Sharma made a brave not-out call.Meanwhile, Gambhir continued to slash, steer and edge boundaries behind square. India Red captain Yuvraj Singh even installed an extra slip, but hee never came into play.dddddddddddd India Blue had scored 40 runs in the first 10.4 overs, and there was neither any mad swing nor significant seam movement. The first spark of action was provided by Nathu Singh, who was evidently quicker than Sangwan and Pandey. He decided to take the pitch and the atmosphere out of the equation, and beat Gambhir with sheer pace: the ball whooshed off a length and crashed into Gambhirs pad before his bat came around it. While Nathu was looking to blast the batsmen out, in came Kuldeep with his wristy, drifting offerings. After a quiet period, three deliveries changed the course of India Blues innings.Agarwal charged out to biff the first ball of the 56th over on the full for a six over the bowlers head. The next ball was flatter and skidded past the batsmans attempted cut, before Kuldeep offered a loopy googly. Agarwal dashed out again for a slog across the line, but this time the ball dipped and swerved past him for Srikar Bharat to complete a stumping. The Kuldeep-Bharat combine came together again in the bowlers next over when Suryakumar Yadav was stumped in an attempted flick. Next ball, nightwatchman Karn Sharma was walking back after being trapped lbw, again by a googly.B Aparajith was, in contrast, untroubled by Kuldeeps googlies, but edged a drive to gully, where Nitish Rana snapped up a smart, low catch, only two overs later. Till about half an hour earlier, India Red were probably bracing for a long haul in the field. But, like in the first game, it took Kuldeep only a few minutes to make a difference. ' ' '
