CONCORD, N.C. -- ExxonMobil will remain at Stewart-Haas Racing after its primary driver, Tony Stewart, retires from Sprint Cup racing in November.Mobil 1 announced Friday an extension of its deal with SHR, where it has sponsored 11 races a season for Stewart and a few others for Kevin Harvick and Danica Patrick.The number of primary-race sponsorships for the SHR stable likely will remain similar to what the company has done in the past, with Harvick as the lead driver but all four SHR drivers -- Harvick, Patrick, Kurt Busch?and?Clint Bowyer?-- having Mobil 1 primary paint schemes during the season.The multiyear deal also includes associate sponsorship of SHR Xfinity Series driver Cole Custer.Stewart will remain a Mobil 1 spokesman as a co-owner of SHR, which collaborates with the company to develop new products.Theyve been an incredible partner, Stewart said in a statement. The success weve achieved has been greatly helped by Mobil 1 lubricant technology and our engineers working hand-in-hand with their engineers.Mobil 1 joined SHR in 2011 but considered going to other teams after Stewart retired this year. So the manager has been deciding whether to play this card ever since, and this week, he got his chance to play it. But hes wary of putting too much physical stress on Morales over the long haul.As an outfielder, theres a toll, Yost said. I mean, theres a lot of running around out there.So come next week, Morales will be back in his familiar DH spot.
