JOLIET, Ill. -- Erik Jones passed Elliott Sadler with nine laps to go and held off Kyle Larson to win the NASCAR Xfinity Series race Saturday at Chicagoland Speedway for his series-high fourth victory of the season.I just had to go chase Elliott down. It was just a matter of time before we got around him, Jones said. What an awesome day.The 20-year-old Jones will be the top seed for the seven-race Chase. He won the Truck Series title a year ago and will move to the Sprint Cup next year. This is great momentum for us, Jones said. Im just really excited.Ryan Sieg and Blake Koch claimed the final two spots in the Xfinity Chase for the Championship.Sprint Cup champion Kyle Busch dominated most of the race, leading 154 of the first 181 laps until he cut a tire and spun out. Clint Bowyer had the lead on the re-start with 14 laps left before Sadler passed him.But a charging Jones surged by Sadler and withstood a late challenge before Larson scraped the wall on the 200th and final lap.On the last lap I tried to get to the throttle early and try to get a run on him on exit, Larson said. I knew I would be flirting with the edge there, and I just got over it and got into the wall and ended our shot.Sadler was third, followed by Daniel Suarez and Illinois native Justin Allgaier. Busch finished 13th.Jones has been the only Xfinity driver to have consistent success on the lower-tier circuit. Sadler and Suarez are the only other full-time drivers to win a race this season.Sieg finished 12th and Koch 15th to earn the final spots in the 12-driver Chase field.Theyll be joined by Allgaier, Ty Dillon, Brennan Poole,?Brendan Gaughan, Ryan Reed, Brandon Jones and Darrell Wallace. The Chase begins next week at Kentucky and will have two elimination rounds before a champion is determined Nov. 19 at Homestead.Busch, the top seed in the Sprint Cup Chase this year, won the Truck Series race Friday night before failing a post-race inspection. He beat Jones off pit road during a green-flag stop with just over 40 laps remaining and held the lead after a later restart. He seemed poised for another win until his tire mishap. His pit crew was also penalized for going over the wall too soon on the ensuing stop to end his chances.Bowyer, a former series champion, finished sixth in his first Xfinity race since 2012Aaron Judge Yankees Jersey . Gary Sanchez Yankees Jersey .com) - Manchester City midfielder David Silva is expected to miss the next four weeks because of a calf problem.Stuart Pearce feels Wayne Rooneys injury-enforced absence will benefit England, because it will allow younger players to get some valuable pre-Euro 2016 experience.Rooney did not travel with the Manchester United squad for their Europa League tie against Danish side FC Midjytlland this week and is likely to miss around six weeks of action with a knee injury. The problem may also rule Rooney out of Englands two warm-up matches for this summers European Championships, against Germany on March 26 and Holland on March 29. Stuart Pearce thinks Wayne Rooneys injury will give England a chance to experiment with other players in the run up to Euro 2016 Pearce feels that may actually benefit Roy Hodgsons preparations, as it will allow less established strikers such as Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane to get some valuable game time.I think its a real bonus, although Wayne wont see it like that, Pearce told Sky Sports News HQ. It freshens him up for the summer and gives Roy (Hodgson) the chance to look at a few of the other players. Rooney injury dilemma Rooney loss exposes Man Utds thin squad. What are their options? If Wayne was in the squad I think Roy would have felt obliged to play him in the warm-up games and that blocks a place for one of the younger players to come in and get some experience. We know what he can do and I dont think we would have learned anything from playing in the friendlies. Louis van Gaal says United will cope without captain Rooney Pearce does feel, however, that Rooneys absence will harm his club side.ddddddddddddIt certainly will affect them because they need forwards, he said. They needed a forward to supplement Wayne Rooney so without him theyre very, very short up front. They will miss him quite badly but theyre not chasing the title, theyre not chasing the Champions League, so the impact will only be seen in the Europa League.Former Manchester United defender Danny Higginbotham feels the loss of Rooney will completely alter the way the team plays. If Wayne was in the squad I think Roy would have felt obliged to play him in the warm-up games Stuart Pearce He gives them something different, he said. Hes quite willing to drop deeper and so when youve got pace either side of him, with (Jesse) Lingard and (Anthony) Martial, he provides the space for them to get into.Martial in particular likes to get in behind the defence and so what I think teams will do if hes up front is sit deep so there isnt that space to get into.So Manchester United will go back to what they used to be, which is a side that plays in front of teams.Higginbotham also feels Nicky Butts appointment as head of academy at United is a vital one, as several of the more recent junior graduates have only been given their chance due to injury. Jamie Carragher thinks Rooneys current form could be affected by how long hes been playing football They have always given young players a chance but, of the recent ones, other than (Jesse) Lingard, they have probably only been given those chances because of injuries, Higginbotham, himself a Manchester United academy graduate, told Sky Sports News HQ. Its not been because theyve been performing unbelievably well in the under-21s.As a club, theyve always had the mentality that age doesnt matter, you will get that opportunity. When you look back at the class of 92, they came through because they were good enough. Now the players are getting the chances because of injuries. Also See:Rooney injury dilemmaWho are Midtjylland?Butt dreams of lasting legacyWho are Uniteds academy graduates? ' ' '
