WOBURN, England -- Ian Poulter is on the premises this week. The Englishman, like Charley Hull, is a member of Woburn Golf Club, and the walls of the clubhouse are filled with photographs and memorabilia that celebrate Poulters career. They include his individual success, but necessarily the Ryder Cup features time and time again because Poulter, of course, is a man driven by team competition; representing his nation or continent transforms him from a very good golfer into an exceptional one.And hes not alone.Spains Azahara Munoz is good on her own -- she claimed the 2012 Sybase Match Play Championship and is a three-time winner on the Ladies European Tour -- but throughout her career, team competition has fueled her passion and stimulated her soul. The early signs were there when she traveled around Europe with the Spanish amateur teams, and she backed it up with NCAA success as she competed for the Arizona State University Sun Devils.Back in 2011, her desire to make the European Solheim Cup team was motivated by her need to rediscover the team unity and purpose she missed from her amateur days. And to those in the know, it was no great surprise that when she was reunited with Carlota Ciganda, Beatriz Recari and Belen Mozo for the inaugural LPGA UL International Crown, the Spaniards romped to the title. This group was united by a belief in the team ethic, which is why last week hurt. This year, the Spanish team failed to qualify to defend its title. That alone would have been bad enough, but Munoz, personally sponsored by UL, was under obligation to attend anyway. It was painful, she said Thursday after her first round at the Ricoh Womens British Open. I had to watch them teeing off on Saturday and I actually saw the crown. I was thinking: This is no fun.But sometimes missing out matters more. Hurt can put fire in the belly. After opening her British account with a smart 4-under-par round of 68 (tied for sixth), she said of last week, It was definitely motivational. Not that she is getting carried away. I feel that its a golf course that if you hit good shots, you get rewarded, she said. And it definitely suits my eye, but Im just going to take it day by day.The way she closed out the front nine emphasized the notion of the course suiting her eye: She made four birdies in six holes from No. 4 to No. 9. She added a fifth red number at the 12th, and her only error came on the final hole when she failed to save par from short of the putting surface.Perhaps this years parkland test suits her better than the more common links examination. Munoz, 28, won the 2009 British Ladies Amateur title, which was played at Royal St Davids, a rugged seaside course beneath the imposing Harlech Castle in Wales. But her best finish at the Ricoh Womens British Open remains a tie for 12th at Royal Birkdale two years ago.Its definitely a different challenge this year, Munoz explained. Obviously, you can still get in trouble, but on a links course you can make a triple without thinking about it. Here, its not so much like that. Its nice to get a little break every now and then because the links courses are stressful, and they are really hard. Obviously, the weather is much nicer too, which I enjoy as well.It may not have been Spanish sunshine, but the tree-lined fairways of Woburn were dabbled in a golden light as she completed her round. A contrast to the scarves and hats that often protect the players in this event.Im definitely feeling comfortable with that, Munoz said with a laugh. Ive been playing pretty good lately. I just want to keep that going, because at the beginning of the year I wasnt hitting the ball that well and I was struggling with my short game.Up until the end of May, Munoz had gone 18 starts without cracking the top 10, a run that stretched back to the middle of last August. The answer initially came in the dirt on the range.Ive been working really hard, and lately its been clicking, she said. Im hitting the ball much better. I normally hit a lot of greens and I was struggling with that. What also helped were a few words from Marta Figueras-Dotti, the winner of this event in 1982, who is a longtime mentor of Munoz since coaching her on the Spanish amateur teams. She was a little down on herself, explained Figueras-Dotti, talking of Munozs early-season form. I think she has such high expectations, such a desire to improve every year, and I said to her, Aza, golf isnt always like that. I kept telling her stay in the present. Technically, she has absolutely nothing to worry about. I tell her to believe in herself, because you know what? Shes really good. The hard work and faith have been rewarded with three top-10 finishes in her last six starts, but talking to Figueras-Dotti, a figure who exudes a love of the sport and the players she guides, its impossible not to return to the subject of team golf.Ive known Aza since she was probably 12 years of age, Figueras-Dotti said with a smile. She thrives, as does Carlota [Ciganda, her teammate for the Rio Olympics], on playing for Spain or Europe. They just transform themselves. If you plant a flag, their adrenalin starts pumping. The first European team championship I took Aza to was when she was 13 years old, and she was so little. But she said to me, Hey, were going to win this thing, Marta. Sometimes I just say to her, Remember that little girl, Aza. She just went out and did it. Dont overcomplicate golf, that little girl never did.If Munoz was devastated to miss out on the UL International Crown, she doesnt have long to wait for compensation. Some golfers might be ambiguous about traveling to Rio, but she is not one of them.Im super-excited that golf is in the Olympics, Munoz said. I watch every single sport when the Olympics are on. I do wish it was a team event, though. Maybe have something individual as well, but I think playing as a team is so, so special.Figueras-Dotti will join Munoz and Ciganda in Rio, and they were discussing arrangements earlier this week. The tone of their conversation is a welcome juxtaposition to the half-heartedness of some.We were talking about all the builders still completing the Olympic village, Figueras-Dotti laughed. We were reading that they were getting electricians and plumbers in to fix it. And Aza said, I dont care. I just dont care. If I have to sleep on the floor, Ill sleep on the floor. I just want to play in the Olympics. I said, I agree. Well do it, well all look after each other. Those girls are so excited. If anything, Ill have to make sure they dont get carried away. Before that adventure, Munoz has the rest of this week to contemplate. By a curious quirk of fate, she was tied for sixth after 18 holes 12 months ago. This time she will hope to maintain the challenge.Perhaps the secret ingredient this week is European union. Britain may have opted to cast Europe aside in one respect, but Munoz has gone in the opposite direction -- at the end of last year she married Englishman Tim Vickers. Shes practically a local now. Willians Astudillo Jersey . Newcastle dominated in the early stages but City weathered the storm and then raised its game in extra time. Negredo broke the deadlock from close range after a simple move in the 99th minute before Dzeko took the ball round goalkeeper Tim Krul to seal the victory in the 105th. Jack Morris Jersey . They hope to persuade the other team owners and commissioner Roger Goodell to put pressure on Redskins owner Daniel Snyder to drop the nickname they find offensive. "Given the way the meeting transpired," Ray Halbritter, an Oneida representative and leader of the "Change the Mascot Campaign," said Wednesday, "it became somewhat evident they were defending the continued use of the name. https://www.cheaptwins.com/192t-kent-hrbek-jersey-twins.html . 1 position. The Masters champion and winner of last weeks Australian PGA has a three-round total of 14-under 199 at Royal Melbourne. "Im in a really good position for tomorrow," Scott said. Jake Cave Jersey .Y. -- The Buffalo Sabres have placed centre Cody Hodgson on injured reserve and recalled two players from their AHL affiliate in Rochester.Robert Griffin III was one of the prized assets of the 2012 NFL Draft. Now, he looks set to become the latest out-of-work quarterback looking for a new team. The Washington Redskins gave up three years worth of first-round picks to the St Louis Rams to ensure they were able to secure the Heisman Trophy-winning college superstar out of Baylor, but it looks almost certain that the team will now move on from Griffin. After leading the Redskins to the play-offs and an NFC East title in his first season, while securing the offensive rookie of the year award, it has all been downhill. During the teams wildcard round loss to Seattle, Griffin suffered torn ACL and LCL ligaments in his right knee. A sub-standard 2013 season followed as he was replaced by Kirk Cousins, a fourth-round draft pick, also from the 2012 class. Kirk Cousins has made the quarterback position in Washington his own After a brief 2014 return, he was again deposed by Cousins, who went on to set franchise records for passing yards and touchdowns last season, leading the club back to the play-offs in the process. In fact, Griffin never took a snap in 2015, falling down to third in the Redskins depth chart behind Colt McCoy.So, what is next for a quarterback who was once so coveted? Well, it certainly looks like it wont be with Washington. Redskins to move on from RG3 Robert Griffin IIIs time in Washington seems to be at an end Thats after team president Bruce Allen appeared to confirm that Griffins future lies elsewhere.I see Robert getting an opportunity with another team, said Allen.Weve heard from some teams that are interested. I think hes going to have a choice of a couple of teams that will let him excel in the future. So, just where will Griffin land for the 2016 season? We take a look at some of the teams that could offer the 26-year old a second chance in the NFL.Cleveland BrownsThe term quarterback-needy doesnt do the Browns justice. Theyre desperate for a solution, especially now that it seems the Johnny Manziel experiment is at an end. Cleveland look set to move on from Johnny Manziel The team will get a fresh start in 2016 under new head coach Hue Jackson - a man known for his excellent work with quarterbacks. With Jackson as offensive coordinator last season, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton had the best passer rating of his career (106.3), also throwing for 25 touchdowns.Cleveland would seem a good fit for Griffin, but with the franchise up second in this years draft, they could have the pick of all the quarterbacks available, with many analysts suggesting they could select Californias Jared Goff.Dallas CowboysCowboys owner Jerry Jones has never been one to hide his admiration for the aforementioned Manziel, but even he might see it as too much of a risk to take a punt on the controversial quarterback.Tony Romo is their undisputed starter, but hell be 36 when the new season starts, and will be coming off the back of an injury-ravaged season that saw him play in only four games. And even with Romo healthy, Dallas need to address their backup situation. Dallas quarterback Tony Romo endured an injury-hit season in 2015 Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel and Kellen Moore were all tried in Romos absence, but ultimately, none were successful as the Cowboys slumped to a 4-12 season. However, there are question marks regarding Griffins ability to fit in Cowboys coach Jason Garretts scheme, with some reports suggesting his offensive co-ordinator Scott Linehan simply isnt a fan of the quarterback. But given their lack of depth at the position, Griffin will be considered.Philadelphia EaglesNobody would be surprised if Griffin ended up in an Eagles uniform next season. Sam Bradford could be on his way out of Philadelphia after just one year Last season, head coach Chip Kelly traded away Pro Bowl quarterback Nick Foles to the Rams, in exchange for their starter Sam Bradford.ddddddddddddKelly is now gone, and Bradford failed to match expectations. Theres every chance Bradford could re-sign with the Eagles, otherwise he will become a free agent. But Philadelphia and their new coach Doug Pederson will be keeping their options open. New Philadelphia coach Doug Pederson could be the man to resurrect Griffins career Pederson, a former quarterback himself, helped Alex Smith finally reach his potential in Kansas City while offensive coordinator.Philadelphia have been searching for a solution at the position since Donovan McNabbs departure in 2009, and Griffin would present a potential long-term option for the franchise. Watch a selection of the best one-handed catches from NFL history Houston TexansBill OBrien knows how to coach quarterbacks - its his specialty. The fact the Houston Texans coach led a team that spent a season juggling Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallett, TJ Yates and Brandon Weeden under center to the play-offs is testament to that. However, OBrien tried to make Hoyer his main man, and, in the end, that was the teams downfall. The signal callers horrendous showing in Houstons 30-0 demolition at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs made Houstons ever-growing need for a long-term solution at quarterback even more apparent. Houstons Brian Hoyer endured a disastrous outing against the Chiefs in the play-offs Owner Bob McNair has signalled the clubs intention to make a change at the position during the off-season, but it could be more likely this will be done via the draft. Christian Hackenberg, who worked under OBrien at Penn State, could be reunited with his college head coach. The Texans believe they are just a quarterback away from success, so theres no doubt they will thoroughly exhaust their options. An available Griffin will certainly be in the mix.Denver BroncosTheyve just won the Super Bowl, but the off-season isnt going to be easy for the Denver Broncos at quarterback. Peyton Manning looks set to retire on a Super Bowl win The legendary Peyton Manning is soon to be 40, and is widely expected to retire. His back-up Brock Osweiler impressed Denvers front office and coaching staff when he relieved Manning mid-season, and is seen by many as the future of the franchise. But he could be on the way out too.Thats because hes about to become a free agent, and could be tempted by a big-money offer elsewhere. And with Super Bowl MVP Von Miller commanding a huge sum to stay in Denver, the cap room might simply not be there to make Osweiler an offer he cant refuse. That would leave coach Gary Kubiak with just second-year Trevor Siemian at the position, so it wouldnt be a surprise if they were to turn to Griffin to bulk up their resources.
