INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Pacers will host the Golden State Warriors on Monday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. It will be the Warriors only trip to Indianapolis this season. Defeating the Warriors is never an easy task. The task will be even tougher for the Pacers, however, as theyll be playing on the second night of a back-to-back. They will also be without Paul George (ankle) and C.J. Miles (knee) due to injury. Its a long season, and youre going to have injuries, said coach Nate McMillan. No one needs to get down.George added, Id rather be strong for us late in the year than earlier in the year. Hopefully this isnt a long-term decision of sitting out.George and Miles also missed Sundays game, and the Pacers were still able to pick up their first road win of the season, an overtime win in Oklahoma City. Jeff Teague led the way with 30 points, nine assists, six steals, and five rebounds. We wanted him (Teague) to be aggressive, McMillan said. I thought Jeff played a solid floor game, not only scoring but setting up his teammates. The Pacers (7-7) have had a lot more success at home compared to the road, as theyve gone 6-2 in Indianapolis this season. They will look to their home crowd and the adrenaline of playing the Western Conference Champions to try and play well in the quick turnaround. The Warriors are 11-2 on the season, and 3-0 on this current road trip. Their road trip will conclude on Monday night.Kevin Durant has now scored 30-plus points five times this season, including in the win against Milwaukee on Saturday.Draymond Green had a big defensive stop Saturday night, proving how the Warriors can beat you in many different ways.Thats what Draymond does, coach Steve Kerr said. He sees the game. He knows whats coming. Draymond is unbelievable in those situations. The Warriors lead the NBA with 117 points per game, and also own the leagues best field-goal percentage (49.8%.) They have three players averaging 20 points per game or more (Durant, Curry and Thompson.) Theyve been every bit as advertised so far this season.Former Pacer David West will be in the building with his new team. He was a fan favorite in his time with Indiana. Both teams are in the top seven in the NBA in 3-point percentage and overall field-goal percentage. It could be another high-scoring affair. The Pacers are 3-1 against the Western Conference this season, and the Warriors are 3-0 against the East. All three of those games have been on this current road trip. The Warriors swept the two-game season series over the Pacers last year in their record-breaking regular season. Steph Curry averaged 34 points per game against Indiana in those games. Brian Moran Jersey . LUCIE, Fla. Livan Hernandez Jersey . Paul Georges buzzer-beating 3-pointer at the end of the third quarter spurred a 21-4 run, finally sending Indiana past the Magic 97-87 in a tougher-than-expected opening night matchup. GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Starting guard Daryn Colledge and injury-plagued running back Ryan Williams were among four Arizona players missing the Cardinals practice on Monday with injuries. Linebacker Jasper Brinkley was sidelined with a sore knee and wide receiver LaRon Byrd sustained a concussion in the teams first practice in pads on Sunday. Coach Bruce Arians says Colledge had nerve irritation in his right leg, which he called "good news" because the MRI showed no fracture. Colledge, moved to the right side of the line in the off-season with first-round draft pick Jonathan Cooper at left guard, missed the first day of training camp for the birth of his daughter. He was hurt in a run-blocking drill Sunday. "There is no timetable on his return," Arians said. "As soon as the nerve re-heals, hell be back full speed." Paul Fanaika moves in to the left guard spot with the first unit in Colledges absence. Williams surgically-repaired right knee flared up and he was unable to get through Sundays practice. Williams termed it a minor setback and an MRI showed no structural damage. "I got it cleaned out in January so Im still kind of dealing with some kinks to work out," Williams said on Monday. "Coming out here after a week off, pounding extra hard like Ive been, its just a little irriitation, so were taking some precautionary actions.dddddddddddd" Williams said hes "pretty sure" there is no significant problem, but he is seeking a second doctors opinion. "Ive been through this before and I just want to make sure nothings wrong with it," he said. Williams has played in just five games in his two NFL seasons after Arizona drafted him in the second round out of Virginia Tech in 2011. He missed his entire rookie season with a ruptured patella tendon in his right knee, then went down with a season-ending shoulder injury in week five a year ago. Asked if this is a make-or-break year for the young running back, Arians said, "I would think so." "Its just bad luck," Arians said. "Hes been doing extremely well and tried to go through yesterday (Sunday). He went through the running backs vs. linebackers and just didnt feel he could push off on it." Williams said he appreciates the support of the trainers and coaches as he works his way back. He knows he has to prove himself. "The biggest thing is game time to go out there and show people Im capable of doing things that they know I can do and that they brought me here to do," he said. "Its the most important thing right now because if I cant prove that I can stay healthy I might not be here." ' ' '
